Blender’s Notes Pain Management:
Steep Me Self-help Tea combinations are a great way to get health benefits outside of the standard tea leaf. This combination of herbs helps you manage the chronic pain that you may experience daily or at least several times a week. This blend is not meant to remove paint…but can help manage it to make daily tasks much easier. The Pain Management Tea is about pain management, not pain elimination, experiencing/feeling pain is a part of life, so we are after healthy management. This tea is caffeine free so can be used anytime of the day, including before bedtime. was built specifically for expecting to breast feeding mommies, so with that in mind, anyone can drink the tea. I am caffeine free, so perfectly safe to have me in the evenings or before bed. I can be used as many times daily as needed on those tough days.
In the blend we based this tea combination on Peppermint Leaf. This does a great job on calming the stomach and gives this blend a great taste. To that we added Red Clover, Borage, Burdock, and Helichrysum to help manage inflammation and for their pain-reducing effects. Brahmi helps lower inflammation and pain by lowering the production of prostaglandins – these are chemicals that trigger inflammation and pain – and other inflammatory proteins. Some researchers suggest that Brahmi may be as effective as morphine in reducing the perception of pain but does not have the typical side effects. Corydalis has an alkaloid called tetrahydropalmatine (THP) has been shown to block receptor sites such as dopamine in the brain, causing a feeling of sedation and effectively decreased chronic pain, persistent pain, and depression and pain intensity. Kava Kava Root due to the muscle relaxing properties of this splendid plant as well as its natural pain-relieving properties built into the plant naturally. Kratom Powder (Red Borneo) has alkaloids which are responsible for the painkilling effect. These alkaloids act on the opiate receptors present in the central nervous system. These receptors in return respond to the alkaloids present in Kratom and via signal transduction, they send a message to the neurons, and it acts by enhancing the release of enkephalins and endorphins. Enkephalins, Dynorphins, and Endorphins are part of the analgesic pathways. These neurotransmitters act by suppressing pain signals that go from the periphery to the brain. And finally, White Willow Bark which contains an aspirin-like compound known as salicin, white willow bark has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for inflammation and pain. Research has shown that taking willow bark may be as effective as taking conventional anti-inflammatory medications for the relief of knee pain and musculoskeletal pain.

Recommended Use
Hi and thank you for choosing Steep Me a Cup of Tea.
I wanted to give a little use information on the tea you chose.
Pain Management should be used conservatively at first, 1-2 teaspoons in 6-12 ounces of 200+ degree water steeped for 10 minutes or more. Monitor blood pressure if able, the tea acts in part like an aspirin and can thin blood, decreasing blood pressure. As your body acclimated and blood pressure stays stable, the serving size can be increased to 3 teaspoons in up to 18 ounces of 200+ degree water for the same 10+ minutes of steep time.
We don’t spray flavorings on our teas, so time is crucial as we are using wild crafted/organic teas and herbs. Once the 10 minutes is up, the tea likes to stay in your “bath” of choice and continue soaking, start drinking me and keeping adding water. Once my 10 minutes in hot water is up, feel free to pour me over ice, leave me in the water and keep adding them cold water as I will make more than cup.
