Description
CERTIFIED ORGANIC 1 packet (25 seeds)
Malva sylvestris (45-50 days) Easy-to-grow heirloom dating back to the 1800s. It was widely planted in Victorian cottage gardens, including Jefferson’s gardens at Monticello. A profusion of pink-lavender flowers with gorgeous deep purple stripes that are just a little different on every bloom. This beauty is a cousin to the more familiar hollyhock. Excellent as a sunny border, next to buildings, fences, or gates. Grows 2-3 feet tall and is a beautiful anchor plant in the back or middles of your flowerbed, or containers. Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds and pollinators. Prefers full sun but does well in partial shade. A very carefree plant, requiring little maintenance, it will bloom the first year from seed. Perennial in zones 4-8.
